Locker — installment phone lock

Sell phones on installment with peace of mind — the phone locks when a payment is overdue and unlocks when it’s paid.

The biggest fear in selling phones on installment is that the customer takes the phone and stops paying. Locker removes that fear — once a phone is enrolled, it locks when a payment is overdue, locks when someone tampers with it, and unlocks as soon as the money comes in. Everything runs from the panel or the shopkeeper app.

1. Add & enroll phones

Put a new installment phone on the Locker and secure it right in the shop, before it reaches the customer’s hands.

  1. 1.1
Add a new installment phone in 5 steps ✨ What it does for your shop
    • Every step saves on its own — nothing is lost if you stop halfway.
    • Add a new customer right from that page, without opening another one.
    • Start typing the brand and the list of models appears.
    • IMEI 1 and IMEI 2 — keep both numbers of a dual-SIM phone.
    • Enter the price, down payment and profit % and the installment schedule shows instantly.
    • Monthly, weekly or daily — collect installments the way you already do.
    • Records which account (cash/bKash) the down payment went into.
    • Review everything together at the last step — your final chance to catch a mistake.

Customer, phone brand and model, IMEI, installment plan, and a final review — five short steps put a phone on the Locker, and the installment contract is created along with it.

  2. 1.2
From a shop sale straight to the Locker ✨ What it does for your shop
    • No typing the same customer’s details twice.
    • The installment plan matches the sale — no risk of mismatches.
    • Shop and Locker live in the same software, so all accounts are in one place.
    • The sale’s IMEI makes sure exactly that handset goes on the Locker.
    • The counter staff sells, the Locker staff enrolls — easy to split the work.
    • Saves time in the rush, so customers wait less.
    • Sales and installment reports both come out right.
    • New staff pick it up easily.

If the phone was already sold on installment from the shop’s POS, just pick that sale from the list and the customer and installment plan fill in on their own.

  3. 1.3
Enroll app — phone-to-phone setup ✨ What it does for your shop
    • No computer needed — any smartphone in the shop will do.
    • No cable? Set it up over Wireless Debugging instead.
    • The app checks on its own whether the phone is ready before enrolling.
    • Enroll once and you’re done — it’s a one-time job per phone.
    • As Device Owner, the customer can’t delete the app or reset the phone.
    • The app runs in several languages, including Bangla.
    • The app tells you itself when a new version is out.
    • You can even set up outside the shop, at the customer’s home.

Keep the Enroll app on your own phone, connect the customer’s phone with an OTG cable or Wireless Debugging, and tap Enroll. The PhoneSell app is installed as Device Owner without a computer.

  4. 1.4
Laptop tool — Windows and Mac ✨ What it does for your shop
    • Runs on both Windows and Mac.
    • One click does the job — no commands to type.
    • Gives you another way in for stubborn brands.
    • Step-by-step written guide — from Developer options to the end.
    • A separate help page shows which switch each brand hides where.
    • On success the panel shows the phone as ENROLLED — no guesswork.
    • Speeds things up on days when you set up many phones at once.
    • With both the app and the tool, no phone stays stuck.

For phones where the Enroll app doesn’t work, plug the phone into a laptop with a USB cable and run the tool — one click installs the PhoneSell app and makes it Device Owner.

  5. 1.5
QR login on the customer app ✨ What it does for your shop
    • The customer doesn’t have to remember a password.
    • Each QR works only once and expires shortly after — nobody else can use it.
    • The page tells you itself as soon as the phone comes online — job done.
    • The app download link is available as a QR too.
    • No logging in to the wrong server — the address is in the QR.
    • Done in a few seconds, so the customer isn’t kept standing.
    • Easy even for customers with little schooling.
    • Right after login the customer can see their own installments.

After enrolling, a QR appears in the panel. Open the PhoneSell app on the customer’s phone and scan the QR to log in — no number or password to type.

  6. 1.6
Device credits — one per phone ✨ What it does for your shop
    • As many phones as credits — the accounting is clear.
    • Remaining credits always show on the dashboard and the add-phone page.
    • Buy online and the credits are added instantly.
    • The credit ledger shows which phone each credit was spent on.
    • You notice before they run out, so new sales aren’t held up.
    • You can also get credits through a dealer.
    • Easy to check how many phones each staff member added.
    • Credits are visible from the shopkeeper app too.

Each new phone you add to the Locker uses one device credit. How many credits are left, when and how many came in, and which phone used each one — it’s all written in the ledger.

2. Lock & unlock

By hand or automatically — locked when an installment isn’t paid, open when it is.

  1. 2.1
Lock with one tap, unlock with one tap ✨ What it does for your shop
    • Far less need to keep calling customers to chase payments.
    • While locked, the customer can only contact the shop and pay the installment.
    • You can send a lock even while the phone is offline — it locks once it gets internet.
    • Lock right from the list, without opening a separate page.
    • Who locked what and when — it’s all in the audit log.
    • You decide whether staff are allowed to lock.
    • Lock from the shopkeeper app even while you’re away from the shop.
    • The command history shows what was sent and when.

Tap “Restrict” on the phone’s page or in the device list and the phone locks; tap “Restore” and it opens. If the phone is online, it happens in a few seconds.

  2. 2.2
Your own notice on the lock screen ✨ What it does for your shop
    • The customer understands why the phone is locked — fewer misunderstandings.
    • The lock screen shows both the total due and how much opens it right now.
    • The customer can message the shop straight from the lock screen.
    • Show a “Pay now” button if you like — the customer pays the installment right there.
    • The back button can’t get around the lock screen.
    • Even after restarting the phone, the lock screen comes back.
    • When the lock is because of a SIM removal, it shows a separate “Security lock” message.
    • Dates and text appear in the phone’s own language.

You write what the locked phone’s screen says — for example “Installment overdue, please contact the shop”. It also shows the amount due and the shop’s contact details.

  3. 2.3
Locks automatically when overdue ✨ What it does for your shop
    • Phones lock by themselves when overdue — no digging through ledgers.
    • The shop decides how many grace days to allow.
    • It locks only on a real overdue, not on a temporary glitch.
    • You can keep a manual-lock-only rule on any contract if you want.
    • Good customers who pay on time never see a lock.
    • The same rule runs evenly across hundreds of phones.
    • Work doesn’t stop on holidays either.
    • Why each phone was locked is recorded, with the reason.

Once an installment date passes and the grace days you set are also over, the phone locks on its own. Every contract is checked automatically each day — you don’t have to tap anything.

  4. 2.4
Step-by-step pressure — from a notice to a full lock ✨ What it does for your shop
    • Remind politely first instead of locking fully out of the blue.
    • Most customers pay as soon as they see the notice.
    • The warning wallpaper is always in sight.
    • With the camera off, customers take it seriously.
    • If they still don’t pay, a full lock — the last resort stays in your hands.
    • Once paid, everything goes back to how it was.
    • You collect without damaging the relationship with the customer.
    • The whole process runs on its own — nothing to tap separately.

When a payment is overdue: first a reminder notice, then a warning wallpaper and the camera turned off, and finally a full lock. Once paid, the phone goes back to normal step by step.

  5. 2.5
Unlocks on its own when paid ✨ What it does for your shop
    • The customer doesn’t need to come back to the shop.
    • No problem if staff forget to unlock.
    • The phone opens even if the payment comes at night or on a holiday.
    • Customers stay happy and pay the next installment on time too.
    • If you reverse a payment by mistake, the accounts go back as they were.
    • The customer can get a receipt SMS along with the unlock.
    • Both lock and unlock are on record.
    • Less work for the shop, less hassle for the customer.

When you record an installment in the panel, or the customer pays online, the phone opens by itself as soon as the overdue amount is cleared — no need to tap unlock separately.

  6. 2.6
Customer’s “a few more days” request ✨ What it does for your shop
    • A customer in real trouble doesn’t have to come to the shop.
    • Whether it’s switched on is entirely your decision.
    • You can limit both the days per request and the total number of requests.
    • Once the limit is reached, requests are refused automatically.
    • The customer sees on the phone how long it will stay open.
    • If they haven’t paid when the time is up, the phone locks again.
    • The extra time is recorded in the contract, so it isn’t lost even if the phone changes.
    • Customer trust grows while the shop stays in control.

With the “Need more time” button on the lock screen, the customer can open the phone for a few days on their own. How many days and how many times — the shop sets those rules entirely.

3. Control without internet

Even if the customer keeps mobile data off, the phone still listens to you.

  1. 3.1
Lock and unlock by SMS ✨ What it does for your shop
    • Customers can’t get away with keeping data off.
    • Pick by overdue phones only, or by how long they’ve been silent.
    • Review the list before sending and untick any to leave out.
    • The reason for every SMS is kept in the audit log.
    • Each SMS is signed with a secret key — nobody else can fake it.
    • You can also send by SMS to a single phone from its page.
    • Nobody can unlock a phone by resending an old SMS.
    • Works as a last resort in emergencies.

Even without internet on the phone, as long as the SIM is active you can send a lock or unlock by SMS — to one phone, or filtered to many phones at once.

  2. 3.2
Offline unlock codes ✨ What it does for your shop
    • Open a phone even somewhere with no network at all.
    • Each code works only once — it won’t work a second time.
    • Every phone has its own codes; one phone’s code won’t open another.
    • Generate new codes with one tap when you need to.
    • Mark a code once you’ve given it out.
    • When the phone comes online, the panel shows which code was used.
    • Help the customer remotely without bringing them to the shop.
    • Only staff with permission can see the codes.

No internet, and SMS isn’t getting through either? The phone’s page has two 8-digit codes. Tell the customer the code over a call — they type it on the lock screen and the phone opens.

  3. 3.3
Code history — who gave out a code ✨ What it does for your shop
    • Staff quietly unlocking phones get caught.
    • Every event records who did it and from where.
    • Entries can’t be deleted — the record is safe.
    • The phone and the customer’s name show side by side.
    • You have proof in hand if there’s a dispute.
    • The shop’s work stays in view even when the owner is away.
    • With permissions in place, you can hand work to staff without worry.
    • No need to keep a separate notebook.

Which staff member gave out which phone’s code and when, which phone used a code, and when codes were changed — all in one list, with the customer’s name.

  4. 3.4
Follows the rules even without internet ✨ What it does for your shop
    • Turning off the internet to dodge the lock doesn’t work.
    • Change a rule and it reaches every phone the next time it comes online.
    • A lock sent while offline takes effect once the phone gets internet.
    • Once locked, it stays locked even without internet.
    • No need to send anything to each phone separately.
    • Locker works even on weak rural networks.
    • When the phone is back online, it reports every event to the panel.
    • The shop’s control doesn’t depend on the internet.

The phone keeps your lock rules stored on itself. So even with data off, a SIM removal or a reset attempt still locks it, and it picks up any new rules as soon as it’s back online.

  5. 3.5
Locks itself after a long time offline ✨ What it does for your shop
    • Customers who deliberately keep the internet off get caught.
    • You decide after how many hours it locks.
    • You can keep it switched off too — entirely your choice.
    • The phone stays in touch, and its location keeps coming in.
    • Customers learn that turning off the internet doesn’t help.
    • Phones that have gone silent stand out separately in the panel list.
    • You can set a different rule for a specific phone.
    • Problems show up before they turn into big overdues.

Turn on the rule if you want — if the phone has no internet for longer than the hours you set, it locks itself, and opens again once it connects over the internet.

4. Anti-tamper protection

Deleting the app, resetting, swapping the SIM — the familiar ways to break a lock are closed.

  1. 4.1
Device Owner — no app removal, no reset ✨ What it does for your shop
    • A factory reset from Settings can’t be used to dodge the lock.
    • The app can’t be uninstalled or force-stopped.
    • The way to take away the app’s permissions is closed.
    • New updates install quietly on their own.
    • Locker starts again even after the phone restarts.
    • It comes back even if the maker’s battery saver kills the app.
    • An attempt to re-flash the phone brings a lock and an alert.
    • When you release it after the last installment, all controls are removed cleanly.

On an enrolled phone the PhoneSell app sits as Device Owner. The customer can’t uninstall or stop the app, or reset the phone from Settings, to break the lock.

  2. 4.2
Locks when the SIM is removed or swapped ✨ What it does for your shop
    • Attempts to run off by swapping the SIM are stopped immediately.
    • Both SIM slots are watched separately.
    • Turning a SIM off in Settings doesn’t cause a lock by mistake.
    • A SIM-change alert reaches the panel right away.
    • Turn the rule on or off — your choice.
    • With it off, you just get an alert instead of a lock.
    • You can open the lock by verifying the new SIM’s number.
    • The customer can get a SIM-change notice by SMS.

If the customer takes out the SIM or puts in a different one, the phone locks right away — even without internet. Simply turning a SIM off and on in Settings does not lock it.

  3. 4.3
SIM number verification (OTP) ✨ What it does for your shop
    • You get the real number of the SIM that’s in the phone right now.
    • The customer can’t fool you by giving a wrong number.
    • The verified number stays in the phone’s history.
    • If it was locked only because of the SIM, verifying opens it.
    • If the code doesn’t fill in by itself, it can be typed from the message on the lock screen.
    • On many operators, USSD alone picks up the number.
    • If there’s money overdue, verifying alone won’t open the phone.
    • The real number helps you track down the customer.

Many phones hide the SIM’s own number. The customer types the phone’s SIM number, a code is sent to that number, and the phone reads the code and matches it on its own — so you learn the real number.

  4. 4.4
Blocks only the dangerous settings ✨ What it does for your shop
    • Customers use their phone normally and don’t get annoyed.
    • Opening the reset page sends them straight back out.
    • The Locker app’s info and permission pages can’t be opened.
    • Whether opening the reset page locks the phone or just sends an alert — you decide.
    • Light protection stays on even without Device Owner.
    • Fewer customer complaints, fewer phones brought back.
    • Tamper attempts send an alert to the shop.
    • The way to contact the shop stays open from the lock screen.

The customer can use normal settings — Wi-Fi, brightness, ringtone — all of them. It only bounces them away from the pages that could break the lock (reset, app info and so on).

  5. 4.5
Detects root, bootloader and tampering ✨ What it does for your shop
    • Attempts to have a technician break the lock get caught.
    • What kind of attempt, on which phone, when — all recorded.
    • Filter alerts by severity and type.
    • Attempts to stop the app or reset the phone always lock it.
    • You can check whether the phone’s protection is intact.
    • Once it’s settled after talking to the customer, tap “Resolve”.
    • Red alerts on the dashboard — impossible to miss.
    • A separate report of security events is available.

Rooting the phone, unlocking the bootloader, turning on developer mode or USB debugging, switching off the Locker’s permissions — when attempts like these are detected, they arrive in the panel as security alerts.

  6. 4.6
Flags phones that go silent ✨ What it does for your shop
    • Tricks to keep the app silenced get caught.
    • Phones that aren’t reporting in stand out separately.
    • It doesn’t lock by mistake — it only lets you know.
    • You can call the customer and check in on time.
    • When it was last online is shown on the phone’s page.
    • Problems show up before they become big losses.
    • The check runs automatically on a regular basis.
    • Saves the time of hunting for them by hand.

If a phone sends no news for a long time, that silence itself is treated as suspicious — the phone moves onto the security list, so you don’t mistakenly assume “all is well”.

  7. 4.7
Release PIN — no logging out on their own ✨ What it does for your shop
    • The way to dodge the lock by leaving the app is closed.
    • Only the shop knows the PIN, and it’s kept secret.
    • You can change the PIN from the shopkeeper app too.
    • On a released phone, the customer can log out as they please.
    • When needed, you can sort it out right in the shop with the PIN.
    • If a staff member leaves, just change the PIN.
    • No complicated app settings needed.
    • Adds one more layer of protection.

While installments are running, the customer can’t log out of the app or turn off protection — that needs the shop’s secret PIN. Once you release the phone after the last installment, it’s no longer needed.

5. Location & monitoring

Which phone is where, which is online, where there’s trouble — at a glance.

  1. 5.1
Live location and location history ✨ What it does for your shop
    • Even if the customer disappears, you know where the phone is.
    • Request the phone’s current location with one tap.
    • Tap the map to open the exact spot.
    • Where it was and when — location history on its own page.
    • Also shows when it was last online and its battery level.
    • Before going out to collect, get an idea of where the customer is.
    • Only staff with permission can see locations.
    • Once released after the last installment, location tracking stops.

See each installment phone’s last position on a map, and tap “Locate” to make the phone send a fresh location right then. The history of past locations is kept too.

  2. 5.2
Geofence — locks when it leaves the area ✨ What it does for your shop
    • Stops attempts to run off to another district with the phone.
    • Set each phone’s area separately.
    • Remove an area with one tap when it’s no longer needed.
    • Leaving the area sends an alert to the panel.
    • Extra protection for high-risk customers.
    • With the rule off, the area is just kept on record.
    • The phone checks the area by itself.
    • Understand the customer’s movements even from far away.

Set an area for a phone. If the phone goes outside that area it will lock — whether that’s switched on is up to you, in Lock Rules.

  3. 5.3
Live Wall — every phone on one screen ✨ What it does for your shop
    • The whole Locker’s status in front of you, right from the counter.
    • Watch today’s collections grow live.
    • New payments and alerts appear instantly.
    • Green on the map means online — clear at a glance.
    • Wall mode fills the whole screen.
    • No need to press refresh.
    • The shopkeeper app has a Live Wall too.
    • Staff stay alert all day.

A page made to leave open on the shop’s TV or a big monitor — how many phones are online, today’s collections, which phones have alerts, and a map of all phones, updating by itself.

  4. 5.4
Locker dashboard ✨ What it does for your shop
    • One look in the morning tells you where to focus today.
    • Total overdue and the number of customers past their date sit right at the top.
    • Active, locked, released — shown split by colour.
    • Tap a card to open the full list.
    • Red security alerts catch your eye at the top.
    • The map below shows where every phone is.
    • Looks good in a mobile browser too.
    • The same dashboard is in the shopkeeper app.

The first page you see in the Locker shows total customers, installment phones, how many are locked, total overdue, credits left and phone status — with a map of all phones below.

  5. 5.5
Security alerts and Telegram notifications ✨ What it does for your shop
    • News of tampering reaches the shop within seconds.
    • Alerts to your own Telegram bot and chat — you’ll know even away from the shop.
    • Open and resolved alerts are shown separately.
    • When, on which phone, what happened — written clearly.
    • The shopkeeper app notifies you when a new alert arrives.
    • Once settled, tap “Resolve” to keep the list clean.
    • The full alert history is available in reports.
    • Nothing slips past, even at night.

SIM changes, reset attempts, attempts to stop the app — every alert collects on the Security page. If you like, they also reach the shop’s own Telegram instantly.

  6. 5.6
Marking a phone as lost ✨ What it does for your shop
    • Tell lost phones and overdue phones apart.
    • Helps you find the last known location.
    • You find out if the phone comes back online.
    • The customer’s complaint is kept on record.
    • One tap from the phone’s page.
    • Filter the list by status.
    • Nobody else can use the phone.
    • Protects the shop’s reputation — you stand by your customer.

If a customer’s phone is stolen or lost, mark it “Lost” from the phone’s page — the phone moves into a separate status, and its location and records stay in your hands.

6. More remote control

Not just locking — plenty more you can do remotely from the phone’s page.

  1. 6.1
The full phone page — everything in one place ✨ What it does for your shop
    • All the news about a phone on one page.
    • See instantly whether the phone is online right now.
    • See the battery level too.
    • If the IMEI is wrong, fix it right from the page.
    • Which commands went when, and whether they arrived — it’s in the history.
    • The installment contract is right below, no separate search.
    • See the list of apps installed on the phone.
    • Exactly the same controls in the shopkeeper app.

Each phone has its own page with the customer, IMEI, battery, last online time, location, installment contract and command history — plus every control button.

  2. 6.2
Notices, pop-ups and alarms ✨ What it does for your shop
    • Remind politely first, without locking.
    • Pop-ups appear even over the lock screen — the customer can’t avoid them.
    • You set the button text too.
    • The alarm sound gets the customer’s attention.
    • The message gets through with no SMS cost.
    • Useful for a reminder the day before an installment is due.
    • Sent messages are kept in the command history.
    • Can be sent from the shopkeeper app too.

Send a plain notice to the customer’s phone, or a pop-up that won’t go away until a button is tapped, or an alarm with sound — remind them without locking.

  3. 6.3
Change the wallpaper and turn off the camera ✨ What it does for your shop
    • The warning wallpaper is seen every time the phone is unlocked.
    • A middle path before a full lock.
    • With the camera off, customers get in touch quickly.
    • One tap brings back the old wallpaper.
    • One tap turns the camera back on.
    • The rest of the phone keeps working normally.
    • These can also happen automatically as part of the overdue steps.
    • Every action is recorded.

Remotely set an installment warning as the phone’s wallpaper, and put the old one back later. If needed, turn off the camera to add pressure, and turn it back on once they pay.

  4. 6.4
Lock specific apps ✨ What it does for your shop
    • Block just the apps you choose instead of locking the whole phone.
    • The customer can still do essential things; entertainment is off.
    • The app list updates from the phone itself.
    • One tap to lock, one tap to open.
    • Works even more firmly on Device Owner phones.
    • Opening a locked app brings up a cover over it.
    • Open all apps again once the overdue is cleared.
    • Can be done from the shopkeeper app too.

From the list of apps on the phone, tap any app to lock it — games or social media, for example. You can apply pressure without shutting down the whole phone.

  5. 6.5
Reboot and screen PIN, remotely ✨ What it does for your shop
    • Restart a stuck phone remotely.
    • Set a screen PIN to keep the phone out of use.
    • If the customer forgets their PIN, clear it.
    • Saves the time and cost of trips to the shop.
    • Every action is protected by permissions.
    • Recorded in the command history.
    • If the phone is offline, it takes effect once it gets internet.
    • Makes support work easier.

Restart the phone remotely, and when needed set or clear a PIN on the phone’s screen lock — without bringing the customer to the shop.

  6. 6.6
Per-phone rule exceptions ✨ What it does for your shop
    • Give trusted customers some leeway.
    • Keep stricter rules for high-risk customers.
    • Special arrangements for customers working abroad or far away.
    • One tap returns it to the shop’s general rules.
    • No need to set rules on every phone one by one.
    • Changes reach the phone right away.
    • Who changed it is kept in the audit log.
    • Keeps your rules in line with reality.

The shop’s general Lock Rules apply to everyone, but if you want a different rule on one particular phone, change it from that phone’s page — the others aren’t affected.

7. Installment contracts

Clear contracts instead of a notebook — who paid how much, how much is left, when it’s due.

  1. 7.1
Installment plan built automatically ✨ What it does for your shop

Shop management

Sales, stock, purchases, dues, repairs, staff and accounts — a mobile shop’s entire ledger in one piece of software.

Built specifically for mobile shops — every phone is tracked by IMEI, accessories are counted by the piece. Whatever you do, whether a sale, a purchase or an expense, the stock and the books update on their own. No more balancing ledgers at month-end just to see your profit or loss.

Fast, accurate sales at the counter — scan, take the money, print the memo.

    • Warns you if the IMEI is blacklisted.

Scan a phone’s IMEI or a product’s barcode and it lands on the bill. No scanner? Scan with the mobile camera, or search by typing the name.
